About Me


New Zealand born and bred. I have been playing guitar since I was a teenager which lead to playing in bands as a lead guitarist and singer.

I have also worked in film and video production and gained vast amount of experience and respect which led me to work on a variety of productions in the New Zealand Film & Television Industry. As a camera operator/assistant I have worked all over New Zealand on documentaries and tv shows including award-winning shows
Epitaph, Shipwreck, Cave Creek -  Full Story of a National Tragedy, TV Adverts  and Xena Warrior Princess.


1999: Moved to the United Kingdom with guitar to perform and learn music in the United Kingdom.
I lived in Nottingham performing live around local venues for a year.

2000: Auditioned for a place at The Guitar Institute in London to study the
One Year Guitar Diploma in Contemporary Music Performance - Guitar.

I passed the audition with flying colours and was offered a place

2001: Achieved the Diploma with Merit.

2002:  Graduated from GI I continued playing live and teaching  and then was asked to work at the Guitar Institute where I was very fortunate to meet some great guitarists, musicians and innovators including.


Steve Vai, John Petrucci, Albert Lee (Eric Clapton), Jerry Donahue, Richard Bennett (Neil Diamond , Mark Knopfler) Mike Stern (Miles Davis),Guy Pratt (Pink Floyd, David Gilmour, Nick Mason, Robert Palmer, Icehouse) Jennifer Batten (Michael Jackson) Martin Taylor MBE,Jim Marshall OBE (Amp Creator) Seymour Duncan ( Pick Up Desiger). 2005: Became. Project Manager for Richmond upon Thames Volunteer Centre London.
I worked on a project supporting people with disabilities into volunteering. 
Whilst working there I produced and directed a movie called  A Difference Made to promote volunteering for people with disabilities and composed the music for the movie. 'All You Need'

Justin Sandercoe watched the film and as a result he asked me to film and edit videos for his website justinguitar.com and the YouTube channel he just created. 

Justin presented me with an award for 1,000,000 subscribers for the production work on the JustinGuitar You Tube Channel which I am very proud off.
